Cancer Support
A gentle, supportive approach to help reduce side effects, support wellbeing, and improve quality of life during and after cancer care.
Our Approach to Cancer Support
At AcuEnhanced, we offer a compassionate, evidence-informed approach to supporting individuals living with cancer.
Our treatments do not aim to “treat” cancer directly. Instead, we provide gentle, supportive therapies that help ease some of the physical and emotional side effects of conventional treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and medications.
Our goal is to work alongside your medical team to improve your quality of life, relieve discomfort, and support your body’s resilience — with a focus on comfort, trust, and your unique needs.

What Can Supportive Therapies Help With?
Supportive therapies may assist with:

Peripheral neuropathy (tingling or numbness in hands/feet)

Pain or tension

Fatigue or low energy

Immune function

Stress, anxiety and Emotional overwhelm

Sleep disturbance

Nausea or digestive discomfort

Hot flushes and hormonal shifts

What Modalities May Be Used?
We use a combination of gentle acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, moxa, and manual therapies, depending on your comfort and clinical context.
We often integrate principles from both Traditional Chinese Medicine and evidence-based biomedical approaches to best support you.
Your treatments will always be adjusted to your energy level, immune status, and stage of care, whether you’re in active treatment, post-treatment recovery, or long-term maintenance.

Common Questions
Is acupuncture safe during cancer treatment?
Yes — when provided by a qualified and registered practitioner who understands the nuances of cancer care. We take into account your immune status, blood counts, and overall wellbeing before proceeding with treatment.
Will this interfere with my oncology care?
No. Our aim is to support your body and mind, and we work alongside your medical team. You’re welcome to bring treatment plans or referrals to help us understand your case more fully.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed, but we’re always happy to communicate with your care team (with your permission) for integrated support.
Is this covered by private health insurance?
Acupuncture with a registered practitioner may be claimable under extras cover. Please check with your provider.
