Women’s Health – Support Through Every Life Stage

Gentle, effective care that honours the unique rhythm of the female body — from first periods to menopause and beyond.

Our Approach to Women’s Health

At AcuEnhanced, we offer natural, evidence-informed support for a wide range of women’s health concerns.

Whether you’re experiencing painful periods, hormonal imbalance, fertility challenges, or menopausal symptoms, our approach is to work with your body — not against it.

We blend the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern evidence-based strategies to create personalised treatments that support hormonal harmony, nervous system regulation, and emotional wellbeing.

Conditions We Commonly Support

  • Irregular or painful periods

  • PCOS and endometriosis

  • PMS and mood changes

  • Hormonal acne

  • Fertility support and cycle tracking

  • Preconception and IVF support

  • Pregnancy-related symptoms

  • Postpartum recovery and nourishment

  • Perimenopause and menopause symptoms

Every woman’s cycle is different — so your care will be too.

What Treatments May Include

Depending on your needs, your session may include:

  • Acupuncture for hormone regulation and nervous system support

  • Moxibustion to support warmth, flow, and womb function

  • Cupping or gentle massage for muscular tension and circulation

  • TCM-based diet and lifestyle advice

  • Herbal medicine (if requested)

  • Energy medicine or breathwork for emotional balance

  • Support for understanding your body’s signs (cycle awareness, basal body temp, etc.)

All treatments are tailored with comfort, privacy, and consent in mind.

What to Expect in a Session

  • We begin with a comprehensive consultation about your cycle, symptoms, history, and goals

  • We’ll also explore digestion, sleep, stress, and emotional health — all of which influence hormones

  • Pulse and tongue diagnosis may be used for deeper insight

  • Your treatment may be a combination of acupuncture and other supportive therapies

  • Each visit is an opportunity to reconnect with your body’s signals and shift gently toward balance

Common Questions

Do I need a diagnosis to start treatment?

No — you’re welcome to come in for support at any stage. Whether you have a formal diagnosis (like PCOS or endometriosis) or simply feel that something’s not quite right, we can begin with your current symptoms, goals, and what you’re noticing in your cycle.

Do you work with women trying to conceive?

Yes — we offer natural fertility support, preconception care, and complementary treatment for IVF and assisted reproductive technologies.

Sessions may include acupuncture, cycle tracking, dietary guidance, and relaxation support tailored to your fertility stage.

Do I need to come at a specific time in my cycle?

It depends on your goals. For cycle regulation or fertility, different phases of your cycle may benefit from different approaches — we’ll guide you based on where you are and what’s needed.

Can acupuncture be used for turning a breech baby or inducing labour?

Acupuncture and moxibustion (a gentle heat technique) have traditionally been used in Chinese medicine to support breech repositioning and preparation for labour.

While we do not claim to induce labour or turn a baby directly, treatments may support the body’s natural readiness and relaxation during these stages.

For breech presentations, moxa is often used around 32–35 weeks, while labour preparation acupuncture is typically offered from 36–40 weeks, with consent from your primary medical care.

We always work alongside your medical care, and your comfort, safety, and consent are our top priorities.

Can acupuncture help with hormonal imbalance?

Acupuncture has been shown to influence hormonal regulation, reduce stress, and support cycle balance by working with the body’s neuroendocrine system.

While we don’t claim to treat specific diseases, many people use acupuncture to manage irregular cycles, PMS, and perimenopausal symptoms.

Is it safe to have acupuncture during pregnancy?

Yes — when performed by a qualified and registered practitioner. We use gentle, pregnancy-appropriate points and techniques to support symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, anxiety, back pain, and birth preparation.

What if I’m on the pill or have an IUD?

We can still work together. We’ll adjust your treatment approach based on your symptoms and preferences — whether or not you’re cycling naturally.
